Sheffield Wednesday helped themself to a 2-0 win this afternoon at in-form Aston Villa, with the Owls taking all three deserved points back to Sheffield.

It was a much needed second win on the bounce for the Owls and especially manager Carlos Carvalhal, who has been under ever increasing pressure over the last few weeks from some sections of the Hillsbrough crowd.

However, today was his day, and in particular, the day also belonged to Owls striker and Scottish international Jordan Rhodes, who once again hit the back of the net to fire Wednesday to the win.

Rhodes has struggled since a big money move to S6 last year, but has finally appeared to hit some form for the Owls, and this was his second goal in as many games which will no doubt have a big effect on the former Blackburn mans confidence. A good sign for the Owls.

Plenty of Wednesdayites took to Twitter following the game to sing the praises of Rhodes and offer their words of encouragement, and we've taken a look at the best reactions...
