Bristol City are one of several Championship clubs interested in 19-year-old Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull, it has been reported.

Turnbull has enjoyed an impressive debut season in regular senior football, scoring 13 goals in 29 Scottish Premiership appearances to earn himself the Scottish Writer's Young Player of the Season award.

That form has reportedly generated plenty of interest in Turnbull south of the border, with The Scottish Sun reporting that Bristol City; Derby County and recently relegated Premier League side Cardiff City all watching Turnbull during Motherwell's 2-0 defeat to St Johnstone on Saturday.

The midfielder still has two years left on his contract at Fir Park, meaning Motherwell are unlikely to let him go easily.
