QPR are keen on a loan move for Tottenham striker Troy Parrott, according to Football.London.

The 20-year-old impressed at MK Dons last season and there are now multiple Championship clubs interested in him.

Football.London has reported that Spurs are willing to let him leave on loan and the R's are keen on signing him.

But would he be a good signing? And do they need him?

We quizzed our FLW writers for their thoughts...

Josh Cole

No longer able to call upon the services of Andre Gray and Charlie Austin, QPR will need to bolster their attacking options this summer and thus a move for Parrott would make sense.

The forward produced a host of eye-catching displays for MK Dons last season as he helped the club reach the play-offs in League One.

As well as scoring nine goals for the club in the third-tier, Parrott also chipped in with six assists as he averaged a WhoScored match rating of 6.80.

Having made considerable strides in terms of his development since he last featured in the Championship, the forward could go on to deliver the goods on a consistent basis at this level for QPR if they seal a deal for him.

Simmey Hannifin-Donaldson

This has the potential to be a good signing for QPR, but I wouldn't say it was a sure thing.

Parrott spent the 2021/22 campaign out on loan at MK Dons in League One and although at times he shone, his form dipped in other moments.

Inconsistency is perhaps something to expect at his age, and this stage of his career, but there is no doubting that he has big potential.

As such, it could be an exciting signing for the R's if they can get him firing consistently.

Billy Mulley

After struggling to adapt to Championship football immediately, Troy Parrott enjoyed a really productive loan spell with MK Dons last season, ticking a lot of boxes for Championship clubs chasing his signature for the upcoming campaign.

Proving to be a scorer and creator of goals, netting eight and assisting seven in 41 league games last time out, his ability to link the play and make intelligent runs for his teammates were common features.

With his performances last season suggesting that he will be ready for the rigours of Championship football, QPR could be the perfect destination for the 20-year-old's development.

Possessing creativity in abundance in the likes of Ilias Chair and Chris Willock, Parrott could thrive of the pair's final-third productivity, whilst his clever movement would suggest that there is every chance he could strike a good partnership with Lyndon Dykes.
