Reading fans will be hoping to see Mark Bowen get off to a good start to his reign in charge of the Royals when the Berkshire based club takes on Preston North End at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, with the former sporting director having taken charge earlier this week.

One player who will no doubt cause a stir upon his return to the first team fold is striker Sam Baldock, who has so far only made two Carabao Cup appearances for the club this season, after being out of favour under former boss Jose Gomes.

The striker signed for the Royals back in 2018 and has gone onto to score five goals in just 25 appearances for the club so far, suggesting that he still has a point to prove.

Reading supporters have now given their views as to whether Baldock can still offer something in a Reading shirt or not, via social media.
