Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth's Nnamdi Ofoborh on a loan deal until the end of the season according to Football Insider.

It is also claimed that the likes of Watford, Rotherham United, Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and Lincoln City are just some of the clubs interested in signing the midfielder.

It has been well-documented that Rangers are eyeing a move for Ofoborh, and it is believed that Steven Gerrard's side are edging closer to securing a pre-contract deal for the 21-year-old.

If this is true, then it would mean that Ofoborh remains a Bournemouth player until the summer, when his contract is set to reach a conclusion.

This has led to a number of clubs in the EFL registering their interest in signing the midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Sheffield Wednesday are currently sat 23rd in the Championship table, and are seemingly keen to add to their squad in the near future as they battle to survive in the second-tier.

But would Ofoborh be a good addition to the Sheffield Wednesday squad for the remainder of this year's campaign?

We discuss...

George Dagless:

Could be.

He's a decent young player with plenty to offer and I think a lot of clubs would have liked to have taken him on this month.

Bournemouth might be happier with this deal, meanwhile, as it could allow them to keep him for longer.

I think he's going to be getting more minutes at Wednesday than elsewhere if he moves, he just needs to find out if it's a good fit for him.

But, undoubtedly, he is a player that could offer the Owls something.

Phil Spencer:

This could be a shrewd addition.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking for players who are fearless and up for the fight of avoiding relegation and Nnamdi Ofoborh certainly fits into that category.

The midfielder is certainly attracting plenty of interest with the likes of Rangers and Watford keen, meaning that a move could be difficult for the Owls to pull off.

At 21 years of age, his best years are very much ahead of him and if the Yorkshire side can give him some crucial first team football then I'm sure they'll be delighted to play their part in his development.

Ben Wignall:

I think Ofoborh deserves a chance at being a a regular Championship player - he was very impressive for Wycombe in League One last season but has too many bodies in-front of him at Bournemouth.

Sheffield Wednesday have just re-signed a ball-winner in Sam Hutchinson, but judging from Saturday's win over Preston he could be getting used as a centre-back, which would accelerate the need for another energetic midfielder.

Ofoborh could do that, giving Joey Pelupessy some real competition as that holding midfielder and giving Barry Bannan and Adam Reach the freedom to go forward and create.

I'm surprised that Rangers haven't had a deal tied up by now, as it was heavily rumoured they wanted him on a pre-contract arrangement, but it's gone quiet on that front and it would represent good business if Ofoborh became a Wednesday player.
