Nottingham Forest return to Championship action following the international break when they entertain Norwich at the weekend with manager Aitor Karanka hoping to build on the fifth place they find themselves in, just six points off leaders Sheffield United.

Karanka is operating with one of the largest squads in the Championship, having recruited heavily in the summer, so for youngsters like midfielder Matty Cash the challenge is to keep themselves in the manager's plans.

But what does the future hold for 21-year-old Cash, where will he be in three years time?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

I can see him being their leading man in three years time, not pushing for a move away but staying out of loyalty.

He is a class player and if given the game time could be a serious player at the City Ground.

Should Matty Cash say, you would imagine he would be a fans’ favourite and one of their more useful assets.

Gary Hutchinson

I can see Cash being at Forest, but only if they fail to go up.

Promotion will bring wholesale change and Karanka has already shown he's willing to do just that.

If they fail this season and the Spaniard goes, Cash will more than likely still be around in three years.

George Dagless

Yes.

Cash is a good young player and I think at Forest under Karanka he has the perfect environment to flourish in.

At his age another three years still makes him a young player and so there's no rush for him to leave a club on the right path at the moment.
