Martyn Waghorn's 12th goal of the season wasn't enough to help Derby County get back to winning ways in the Championship last night.

The Rams travelled to West London to face a Queens Park Rangers side who battled hard to grind out a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

After Derby failed to clear a corner, the R's took the lead 10 minutes before half-time, with QPR captain Grant Hall firing in off the underside of the bar.

Waghorn levelled for Phillip Cocu's side just before half-time, a perfect time to grab an equalising goal, some would say.

But with 15 minutes remaining, QPR found a winner through Ilias Chair, after Wayne Rooney gifted the home side possession far too easily.

On a disappointing night for Derby, it would have been a good feeling for Waghorn to grab his 12th goal of the season.

The striker was there when it mattered to find an equaliser, but some Derby fans have still been left disappointed at his performance.
