Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberan has offered an injury update on Danny Ward and has suggested the player could be back involved in training with the first-team during the next international break in November.

The Terriers have had a steady enough start to the season with them 14th in the league having won three, drawn one and lost three so far in the Championship.

Ward will not be playing a part in any of their games this side of the international break, though, with Corberan confirming that both he and youngster Rarmani Edmonds-Green are not due back to work with the squad until the next pause in the domestic campaign.

He said via Yorkshire Live:

"Unfortunately both players are working away from the team.

"They are continuing the process of adaptation and the process of recovery.

"I hope that in the next international break we can add the two players to the training sessions and integrate both into the dynamic of the team."

The Verdict

28-year-old Ward has been contending with a hamstring strain but at least he is doing work in terms of his recovery, even if it is away from the main group.

The player will be eager to get back amongst it as Huddersfield have shown some decent signs this season in terms of their style of play, they just need to stitch together a run of wins to really climb the table.

Even so, Carlos Corberan will be pleased enough with some of the stuff he has seen and there are things to build upon for sure.
