Steve Cook is close to agreeing a new deal with Bournemouth according to sources at Sky Sports.
Cook has been at Bournemouth since signing permanently after a successful loan spell in 2011. He has managed nearly one hundred games for the South Coast club and has been a rock at the back in the club’s progress to the Championship.
Cook began his career at Brighton but only made three appearances for the club and numerous loan spells away before a £150,000 move to Bournemouth came along and he has gone on from strength to strength.
Cook enjoyed a great season last year as Bournemouth finished tenth in the Championship, and a lot of clubs were believed to be interested in signing the twenty three year old.
News of the deal will end all the speculation about Cook’s future and will be a massive boost to Eddie Howe and his side.
