Charlton Athletic welcome league leaders Plymouth Argyle to The Valley on Saturday hoping to continue their good form under Johnnie Jackson.

The Pilgrims ran out 4-1 victors at Accrington Stanley last weekend before hammering Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 in their FA Cup first round replay. Many were tipping Ryan Lowe's men for a difficult season in the summer but they have experienced anything but, unbeaten since the opening day and fully firing as one of the best attacking sides in the division.

The Addicks have only conceded once in their last four league games, which includes Sunderland and Rotherham United, but may have their work cut out against Lowe's Argyle who will smell blood with the South Londoners missing Akin Famewo through suspension.

Along with Famewo, Jayden Stockley faces a ban following his red card at Burton Albion last time out so we are predicting two enforced changes for the in-form Addicks...

With Sam Lavelle, Ryan Inniss and Adam Matthews all out injured and Famewo suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards the Addicks may have to settle for a makeshift back three with Jason Pearce as the only specialist centre back. With Chris Gunter replacing Famewo after coming back from international duty.

Conor Washington, returning from his international exertions with Northern Ireland, takes his place up top in Stockley's absence alongside Josh Davison.

It is a weakened side for sure but with the midfield trio of George Dobson, Alex Gilbey and Elliot Lee clicking the way it has in the last month or so the players will feel like they have every chance.
