Conor Hourihane starts: The predicted Sheffield United XI to face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday

Sheffield United will be hoping to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat at home to Blackpool when they arrive at the City Ground on Tuesday evening.

Despite the 1-0 loss at Bramall Lane the Blades were the better side in terms of chances created and were caught out by a long ball from Tangerines goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw for Keshi Anderson to emphatically net the winner on 76 minutes.

Slavisa Jokanovic will have been disappointed to see his side lose ground on the top six, the gap now six points, and lose key man Lys Mousset to injury after 74 minutes.

Nottingham Forest snatched a last gasp point at Queens Park Rangers on Friday evening courtesy of Jack Colback’s deflected volley and will be hoping to continue their good form under Steve Cooper.

We are predicting two changes to the Blades’ XI that was unsuccessful against Neil Critchley’s men to come in at the City Ground.

The two changes are as follows: Billy Sharp replacing Mousset and Conor Hourihane coming in for John Fleck.

The first alteration is enforced, the second a bit of squad rotation with Fleck being substituted in the closing exchanges on Saturday. In 17th after 15 games there does not seem to be too much pressure on the shoulders of Jokanovic for his position in the dugout however, the longer that gap between the Blades and the play-offs continues to widen the less of the fan base the Serbian is going to keep onside.
