Wolves defender Conor Coady believes promotion is just the start for the club as the owners continue to inspire belief in everyone at Molineux.
Fosun International may have caused some controversy with their links to super-agent Jorge Mendes, but Coady sees the ambition in everything they do for the club.
“This club can go big," he told the Express and Star. "You listen to what the owners are saying and what they do – everything is there for us and I do mean everything, the training ground, the stadium, the facilities. When you hear the owners and the manager speak it’s like it’s another step on what this club wants to do."
Wolves gift-wrapped their promotion this weekend with a resounding 4-0 win at Bolton and Coady revealed that the squad are in a great place following a challenging season.
“We’re enjoying the moment and what we’ve done because it’s no mean feat being promoted from the Championship.”
25-year old Coady joined Wolves from Huddersfield Town in 2015 for a fee thought to be in the region of £2m. He served his youth at Liverpool before a move to West Yorkshire in 2014.
The Verdict
Coady is spot on, everything the owners are doing for Wolves looks positive. The links to Mendes might be controversial, but they've helped with recruitment, that is for sure.
Wolves are a big club though, traditionally they always have been. In the 1950's they were perhaps one of the biggest in England and there's no reason why, with the right input of knowledge and cash, they can't rise to that level once more.
