QPR have today confirmed that Jack Robinson has left the club after the defender rejected a contract offer from the Championship side.

The former Liverpool man, who also played at centre-back on many occasions for the R's, has spent four years at Loftus Road but he has been impacted by injuries.

However, he impressed last season with his aggressive and determined displays which means he is unlikely to be short of offers as a free agent.

And, QPR today confirmed the news, with Director of Football Les Ferdinand telling the official site they did all they could to keep him.

"Jack will be leaving us. We made him a very attractive offer, but he decided to turn it down and take his chances in the market."

"We thank Jack for his efforts during his time with us and wish him every success in the future. The club’s philosophy with regards to signing players and retaining players has changed in recent years, and that is vital for our sustainability going forward."

The Verdict

This is a blow for QPR as Robinson is a good player and someone that they clearly wanted to keep.

Fans will obviously be annoyed and may feel he should've signed a new deal after the club stuck by him after his injury problems but that's football.

Robinson will no doubt get a move to another Championship side and QPR will have to look for a replacement.
