Nottingham Forest winger, Gboly Ariyibi has left the club on loan for the remainder of the season to join Scottish side, Motherwell.

The move was confirmed on Monday morning, and it's no surprise to see the 23-year-old moving out on loan from the Championship side.

Ariyibi joined the Reds in 2017 from Chesterfield, but has failed to nail down a regular starting spot in Aitor Karanka's side, which will be disappointing for the winger.

The American revealed that he was delighted to move to Motherwell in an interview with their official website.

"I am delighted to join and I can't wait to get started."

Motherwell boss, Stephen Robinson outlined Ariyibi's attributes that he'll bring to his side for the res of this year's campaign.

"He's a fast-footed, speedy forward player who can plays on either flank or through the middle. He fits the type of profile we were looking for and will hopefully provide a different dimension in the forward areas.

Ariyibi has joined former Leeds United team-mate, Ross McCormack at the club, after the forward signed on a loan deal for the remainder of the season after the Villa man completed his move at the weekend.

The Verdict:

It's the best move for both parties involved.

Ariyibi wasn't getting anywhere near enough game time at Nottingham Forest this season and he'll definitely benefit from a loan move for the rest of the season.

If he can impress out on loan for the remainder of this year's campaign, then he could potentially force his way into Aitor Karanka's starting XI next season.
