Nottingham Forest have today completed the signing of Jack Robinson on a free transfer from QPR.

The left-back was out of contract at Loftus Road and turned down several offers from the London side to remain at the club.

Robinson played 34 times for the R's under Ian Holloway last season and impressed with his aggressive style and determination.

He has now moved to Forest, signing a two-year deal to become the latest arrival at the City Ground in what has been a very busy summer for Aitor Karanka.

The Spaniard has already brought in Michael Dawson, Joao Carvalho, Gil Dias, Hillal Soudani and Diogo Goncalves to the club, with many more expected.

Even though he played as a centre-back last season, Liverpool academy graduate Robinson is expected to be the first-choice left-back for the Reds next season.

And, he told the club's media that he has one clear target whilst with Forest. "Hopefully we can take this team to the next level and the Premier League."

The Verdict

This is a very good signing from Forest and it solves a problem position for Aitor Karanka, who needed a left-back.

Injuries have been a concern over the years, but if Robinson can stay fit he is a very capable defender, strong and will easily improve their back four.

Forest have had a superb summer so far and his arrival adds to that. It's a very exciting time to be a supporter.
