Saul Milovanovic has signed for the Canaries from Huddersfield Town, according to the official site.

The 17-year-old central midfielder has been on the trial at the club for the past few weeks, and has been rewarded with a two-year contract which sees him join the development squad. Therefore, it's likely to be a while before he makes his way into the first-team.

He has already made brief appearances for the Under-23s, so the club obviously think highly of him with the academy manager Steve Weaver knowing him from his time at Huddersfield.

Here's what the youngster had to say about the move to Norwich's site: "I'm just glad that it's finally happened because I've been looking for an opportunity like this."

"It's category one football here and I'll be playing with and against some of the top young players in England."

"I knew Steve Weaver from Huddersfield and it's great to join up with him again."

The Verdict

The fact that Weaver has brought him from his old club shows the high regard he holds him in. This is a good move for the young midfielder because Norwich have a good academy set-up and Daniel Farke is willing to promote internally.

Farke has given young players such as James Maddison and Josh Murphy starring roles in the team and Milovanovic could be given a similar opportunity in a few seasons time if he continues his progression.
