Bradford City have confirmed the signing of George Miller from Middlesbrough, with the forward joining the Bantams on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell with Bury in League One last season, scoring eight goals in 19 games in a side that ultimately finished bottom.

However, Miller impressed and even landed the February Player of the Month award.

Therefore, this is considered a coup for Bradford and Head Coach Michael Collins told the official site that he was delighted to land the forward:

"George was exceptional last season at a very young age in a Bury side who were fighting for their lives.

"His infectious attitiude to hard work will be a huge factor for us and he has clearly demonstrated he knows how to score goals, so we are delighted to welcome him into the club."

The youngster is yet to make a league appearance for Boro since joining in 2017 and he is the second loan signing for Collins' men, with Jack Payne also joining for the season.

The Verdict

This is a good signing for Bradford as Miller showed in his short spell at Bury that he is a quality player at this level.

The Yorkshire club will be hoping he can replicate that form for them and if he does he will become a key player for Collins.

Now, the player will be looking to meet his new teammates and settle in ahead of the new campaign.
