Leeds United have moved to secure the service of Jack Harrison, who has arrived at Elland Road on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

An announcement has come on Leeds’ official website this evening, confirming that Harrison has arrived on a temporary basis from the Premier League champions.

The 21-year-old winger is embarking on his second loan spell in the Championship, having spent time under Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough last season.

Harrison is yet to make a senior appearance for Man City, who swooped to sign him from New York City, after he impressed for their partner-club in the USA.

During his time with New York, Harrison excelled alongside the likes of Frank Lampard and David Villa, scoring 14 goals in 55 league appearances.

The winger becomes Leeds’ fourth summer signing, following Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman through the door as loan signings.

Barry Douglas remains Leeds’ only permanent signing of the summer, but the Whites are working on a deal to bring Patrick Bamford to Elland Road, according to reports, as they step up their pursuit of a striker to lead the line for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The Verdict

This has the potential to be a really exciting signing for Leeds.

Harrison is an exciting winger, and although he struggled at Boro last season, he could thrive at Elland Road.

If he can rediscover the type of form he showed in America, he will be a hit at Elland Road.
