Kevin Bru has left Ipswich Town after four seasons at the club.
He joined in 2014 as a free agent after leaving Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.
His importance in the team gradually reduced over time even though he played an important role in helping the Tractor Boys reach the play-offs in his first season, when they lost 4-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals to local rivals Norwich City.
During his first season, he made 33 league appearances for a total of 1774 minutes. This season he only made nine league appearances with six of them from the bench and a total of 380 minutes.
The contrast in playing time shows how he has slid down the pecking order over time.
His exit was announced on the official Twitter account as can be seen below:

He has played a bit part role this season, so it’s right for him to move on even if Mick McCarthy has left. A move elsewhere will hopefully rejuvenate his career because he needs to get some consistent playing time.
Ipswich need better quality players if they want to start seriously challenging for the play-offs, so they need to get rid of the players who aren’t contributing on the periphery of the squad such as Bru, so this was the right move by the Tractor Boys.
