Reading have been in fine form over the last few weeks, winning four of their last five fixtures and midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has told the club’s official website that ‘confidence is high’ amongst his team as they come back to Championship action this weekend.
The Royals have been in fine form this year so far and could consider themselves as battlers for a play-off spot yet again. With the side tenth in the table, it’s certainly possible that they could kick on and try and bid for a promotion spot again, only this time around they’ll be hoping they don’t narrowly miss out.
In their efforts to strengthen the side to go again this year, they added Tom Dele-Bashiru to their ranks from Watford. The midfielder has joined the club on loan and has already gone about his business well and looked the part in the centre of the field.

He was highly regarded at Man City and then joined his current side Watford and in the pursuit of first-team football, has joined the Royals. He’s been solid for them and is now eager to continue playing for the club now that the international break is over and admitted that ‘confidence is high’ at the club, as they look to get another positive result this weekend.
Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “It’s been good to get some rest in, recover and recuperate, but now I’m just eager to get going and start playing again.
“I think we’re just slowly upping our levels; we ended the last block of games really well with a win over Cardiff, and we just need to keep improving.
“The mood has been great, the confidence is coming back amongst the boys, the players who’ve come in, they’ve really helped, and confidence is high.”
The midfielder then is determined to keep improving and keep getting the minutes in for Reading – and if he continues to perform as he has, then the club will not want to let him go back to his parent club in a hurry either. If they can continue to perform as they have, then Dele-Bashiru and co could certainly pick up another win in their next fixture.
Tom Dele-Bashiru has been a solid addition to the Royals’ team this season and the club have already gotten themselves off to another flying start in the Championship. With the rich vein of form they’re in, there is no reason why they cannot challenge again this year.
The midfielder has looked great and not only is he clearly eager to get back into club football but the club’s fans will be eager to see them back in action again this weekend too. If they can carry on their form from before the international break, then the good times could keep on rolling for the Royals in their next game.
