Sheffield Wednesday let in four goals for the second straight league match on Saturday, as Bobby Reid's hat trick put them to the sword and earned a much-needed win for Bristol City.

A week that saw them eliminated from the FA Cup at the fifth round stage by former manager Carlos Carvalhal and his new club Swansea was bookended by league defeats to the Robins and Aston Villa.

The injury crisis Jos Luhukay has been battling against for most of his reign has taken its grip and limited his options for change, especially with the cup run that had been taking it out of the players as well.

The Owls can now fully focus on the league but the injury list shows no sign of getting any shorter and speaking ahead of tomorrow night's game against Ipswich Town, Luhukay revealed that three more players are touch and go.

The Verdict

Luhukay has not exactly set the world alight in the early stages of his reign at Wednesday but injuries have greatly hampered his attempts to introduce his philosophy to the club.

He must have been hoping that being eliminated from the FA Cup would ease his injury fears but that has not proved to be the case so far.

That is a concern as, for me, they are not quite fully safe from relegation just yet.
