Preston North End have quietly gone about their business in the last couple of years and have been on the verge of the play-offs.
Simon Grayson did a magnificent job at Deepdale and Alex Neil has taken over where his predecessor left off by continuing to have Preston competing for the top six.
After narrowly missing out in consecutive seasons, next year could be the chance to break into the play-off zone.
Preston have never played football in the top flight during the Premier League era – the closest they have come is the play-off final defeat to West Ham United back in the early 2000s.
But there is a renewed sense of optimism in the camp and Preston fans will be hoping to go one better next term.
In order to achieve that top six spot, Neil might look to add another few quality players.
Here are three who would boost their top six credentials.
