Any outside chance Middlesbrough may have had of finishing in the top two appeared to end this afternoon as Brentford came from behind to take all three points at the Riverside.

Tony Pulis' side took an early lead through Ashley Fletcher and despite having less of the ball they were looking dangerous at times in the final third.

However, they sat back a lot in the second half, with Pulis' bringing on defender George Friend for Britt Assombalonga which invited even more pressure.
