After Victor Orta’s big summer spending spree at Leeds United, it is fair to say that the club’s recruitment has been something that has been in the spotlight, particularly with their season drifting towards a mid-table finish.

Not even a handful of Orta’s signings can be deemed as a success, with Leeds currently in 13th and looking like staying around there over the course of the next nine fixtures.

Leeds’ supporters have been extremely critical of Orta’s recruitment, with a number of his signings failing to make the grade at Elland Road.

One of those has been Jay-Roy Grot, the forward who turns 20 today.

Grot is yet to score a senior goal for Leeds, and since Paul Heckingbottom’s arrival at Elland Road, has found himself with the club’s development squad, where he continues to adapt to English football.
