Sheffield Wednesday boss Jos Luhukay has admitted he doesn’t know if Keiren Westwood will depart the club in January, insisting that his sole focus is on the players that are available to him.  

Westwood is yet to feature under Luhukay in 2018, with injuries and the manager’s snub leaving the 34-year-old sidelined.

A rare appearance for the under-23s last week sparked plenty of debate amongst supporters, with Luhukay then facing questions over the goalkeeper’s future.

Luhukay has told Dom Howson at the Sheffield Star that he doesn’t know if Westwood will depart, also indicating that he isn’t being considered for first-team selection at this stage.

There has been very little transparency regarding Westwood’s situation at Hillsborough, with everybody associated with the club keeping their lips sealed.

As expected, with the pressure building massively on Luhukay, this admission didn’t go down well amongst the Hillsborough faithful.
