It seems the mass recruitment policy at Nottingham Forest could be on hold as manager Aitor Karanka may struggle to secure the services of free-agent Bakary Sako, according to Nottingham Post journalist Paul Taylor on Twitter.

According to Taylor, the player is on the radar of a number of clubs, some of whom will be prepared to put serious money on the table to secure his services.

So would the failure to land Sako be good news for Forest?

They must have finally run out of pegs in the dressing room.

This was never a move worth pursuing.

They’ve assembled their squad, the trick is to get them playing now, not bring in more players.

Common sense prevails!

It would have been a handy signing, but having seen 16 new arrivals enter the City Ground, with interest in more additions, this is a step in the right direction to avoid stockpiling players even more.

To bring in Bakary Sako would have been a kick in the teeth of the players who are doing their best to force their way in the team without the need of even more additions.

Well done Aitor Karanka.

It is.

Sako is a decent player and will be a good signing for someone but Forest do not need him.

They've got enough players across the pitch and should start working on finding a system.
