‘Complete passenger’, ‘Disappointing’ – These Norwich fans were left wanting more from one man in defeat to Watford

It was a disappointing evening for Norwich City on Boxing Day, as they saw their run of five straight win with 1-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road.

Despite largely dominating possession and chances across the course of the 90 minutes, the Canaries were unable to find a breakthrough, and were punished shortly before half time, when Ismaila Sarr’s goal put the hosts ahead.

That strike would prove to be enough to secure all three points for the Hornets’ in their first game under new manager Xisco Munoz, and leave Norwich frustrated in their attempts to strengthen their position at the top of the Championship table.

One player who particularly seemed to struggle for Daniel Farke’s side on Saturday, was Kieran Dowell.

Restored to the starting lineup for the first time since September after several months out through injury, the attacking midfielder was unable to make much of an impact in the game, as his side went in search of a way into the game.

That is something that did not go unnoticed by a number of Norwich fans as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, with plenty seemingly far from impressed with Dowell’s performance at Vicarage Road, before he was replaced by Mario Vrancic midway through the second half.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the 23-year-old.
