Helder Costa had a golden chance to seal three points for Leeds United last night, but Ezgjan Alioski’s 96th minute cross skimmed off the head of the winger and Luton Town held on for a point at Elland Road.

Leeds were piling the pressure on throughout the second-half last night, particularly after Stuart Dallas’ 63rd minute goal had cancelled out Harry Cornick’s opener.

Chances fell to Patrick Bamford, one of which saw the striker lose the flight of the ball in the West Stand floodlights, much to the amusement of those lucky enough to watch on at Elland Road.

And, Costa struggled with the same distractions in the 96th minute as he failed to convert an excellent Alioski cross, with the 26-year-old’s header nowhere near troubling Simon Sluga.

It has been a frustrating restart for Costa, who has failed to rediscover his pre-postponement form, with many fans voicing frustrations with his efforts last night.

The main talking point was his failure to score the game’s winning goal, with a fair few not buying the excuse of the floodlights…
