Many Swindon Town fans have today taken to Twitter to react to the news that Steve Anderson has left his role as the club’s chief executive.

Anderson served the club for almost eight years and oversaw their promotion to and subsequent relegation from Sky Bet League One.

The Robins were quick to point out in that statement that the outgoing CEO has helped to build a strong foundation for the future, whilst also helping to evolve their marketing department, improve operations and create a strong and clear strategic direction.

Swindon will now be looking for a new CEO to take them forward as they look to battle for promotion in League Two next season under the guidance of John McGreal.

Naturally the news of Anderson’s departure has prompted quite the reaction from the County Ground faithful on social media.
