Stoke City have had a season to forget so far but the appointment of Michael O’Neill and the win at Barnsley last time out has lifted the mood around the club.
And, there was more good news in the week, with club captain Ryan Shawcross returning to fitness after breaking his leg in pre-season.
The centre-back is a well-respected figure at the Potters having played over 450 times and his return prompted ex-teammate Marc Muniesa to take to Twitter.

As you can see, he was delighted to see the 32-year-old back and it’s fair to say the fans were pleased to see the Spaniard is still taking an interest in Stoke.
Now at Al-Arabi, the former Barcelona man was a huge favourite among the support during his time in Staffordshire and he impressed when out on the pitch, although injuries halted his progress somewhat.
