Many Birmingham City fans have responded to a tweet by Garry Monk with messages telling him to come back to Birmingham.

The former Birmingham boss posted a video to his Twitter page of his children participating in sports day.

He Tweeted: "School sports day. Nothing like seeing my boys having so much fun!" To which many people ignored, and just asked for him to return.

Garry Monk was sacked after 15 months with the club, after he saw the club reach 17th place after having a nine-point deduction for a breach of EFL financial standards.

Many of the club's fans were distraught over the news, with many calling it a 'farce' or a 'joke' that they would dismiss a manager who was so well respected by the club.

Birmingham's CEO later revealed the circumstances from the sacking from his point of view and said that his relationship broke down with Monk over the use of his agent and a friend associated with transfers.

He said despite a dispute over the style of football, the parting of ways "was about us stopping the transfers and having his agent controlling all the deals".

Monk has been unemployed since but has been linked to the Newcastle United job.

Bluenoses still haven't got over it though, it seems, judging by the responses below...
