Leeds United celebrate their 100th anniversary as a club on Thursday, and they'll be hoping they can make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this season to mark the occasion.

They have had their fair share of fans favourites over the years, and one of them has sent the club a message on this special day for everyone associated with Leeds.

Former Leeds defender Pontus Jansson sent the Whites his best wishes on their anniversary, in a message that will have certainly gone down well with the club's supporters.

Jansson made 120 appearances for Leeds over a three-year spell with the Yorkshire-based club, before making the somewhat surprising move to Brentford in the summer transfer window.

Leeds have since gone on to make a strong start to this year's league campaign, and currently sit fifth in the Championship table after eleven games.

It's safe to say that Jansson's latest message went down well with the Elland Road faithful.
