QPR defender Angel Rangel has revealed that surgery has gone well for him as he begins his recovery after he suffered a thigh injury.

The former Swansea full-back has been a big player for Steve McClaren since arriving at Loftus Road and has quickly established himself as a fan favourite.

Having initially signed a deal running until January, the R's rewarded the Spaniard for his impressive form by giving him a deal until the end of the campaign.

However, the club confirmed last week that he was set for a relatively lengthy spell out after tearing a tendon in his upper thigh.

And, Rangel shared the latest on that, posting an update on Twitter, which revealed he had undergone surgery that had gone well.

As you would expect, this message prompted a lot of supporters to wish the 36-year-old the best as he begins his recovery and it wasn't all from QPR fans, with Swansea fans also responding.
