Leeds United loanee Tom Adeyemi hasn’t ruled out a potential permanent switch from parent club Cardiff City, admitting that he has been toying with the idea in his mind.
The loan star has impress thus far as a Leeds player and the midfielder is keen on an extended stay at Elland Road.
Since joining Leeds earlier this summer, fans have grown to appreciate all Adeyemi does for a promising Leeds side and the news that he is thinking about a permanent switch will surely please many Leeds United fans.
A switch from the Welsh side to West-Yorkshire remains very much a possibility as the 23-year-old continues to forge a positive relationship with the Leeds supporters.
There’s no doubt that bringing Adeyemi into the club on a permanent basis would be a great signing for Leeds United as the youngster’s quality on the ball is proving to be a prized asset for them this season. However, it is too early to tell whether the move is likely to happen despite the fact that the player is thinking about the move.
When asked about a potential permanent switch to Leeds, Adeyemi told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I think a lot depends on how I perform. I’ve got to make sure I get myself in a position where the club are thinking about me.
“Obviously I’m still under contract with Cardiff and I don’t really know what the thoughts are there but I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here – as much as I’ve enjoyed playing anywhere else. It’s definitely something I’m thinking about.”
There are other road blocks that could hamper a permanent switch too, such as the two clubs failing to come to an agreement – financially or otherwise.
Similarly, Cardiff City may decide that they want to keep the youngster, especially after he is proving himself in the Sky Bet Championship. Ultimately, the Welsh side have the most power in the matter as the player is under contract at Cardiff.
But what is clear is that Adeyemi is enjoying his time at Leeds United and would be open to a permanent move to West-Yorkshire.
