Football League World’s Chris Thorpe will be live at the JobServe Community Stadium tomorrow, as Colchester United prepare to take on Leyton Orient in Sky Bet League Two.

Both sides will be seeking to harness some much-needed consistency in the league as they go head to head tomorrow afternoon, both looking to build on their respective mixed starts to the season.

Colchester currently sit just three points off the play-off places and will no doubt be seeking to put their shock FA Cup exit at the hands of non-league Marine to the back of their minds as they take to home turf once again.

Orient, meanwhile, will also be seeking to banish their FA Cup demons when they travel to Essex this weekend, with Ross Embleton's side having also exited the competition recently - falling foul to a 2-1 defeat at home to fellow League Two outfit Newport County.

With Callum Harriott having suffered an early injury in the FA Cup against Marine, Steve Ball is likely to hand a start to Joshua Bohui on the left hand side of the U's attack as they seek to close in on the play-off places. Whilst Noah Chilvers should slot in nicely alongside Harry Pell in centre midfield due to the continued absence of Ben Stevenson.

As for Orient, the East Londoners are expected to make several changes to their starting eleven after rotating their squad during the 3-1 defeat away to London rivals Charlton Athletic in the Papa John's Trophy last Tuesday.

This is expected to be a feisty affair between two sides that will no doubt have ambitions of being in the mix for the play-offs come the end of the season.

This match is sure to be won and lost in midfield, with the combative Colchester pairing of Pell and Chilvers sure to provide tough opposition to the grit and guile of Orient's midfield trio which is likely to be made up of Clay, Cisse and McAnuff.

Both sides have enjoyed little in the way of average possession this season, with totals of 48.1% and 52.2% suggesting that this could be a game which is decided by the quality of set pieces.

After putting six goals past Essex rivals Southend United earlier in the week, it is fair to say Colchester will be the narrow favourites for this one as they look to hone in on the top seven in League Two.
