Derby County were emphatically knocked out of the Carabao Cup as they were beaten at rivals Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Albert Adomah opened the scoring for the Reds before Joe Lolley doubled their lead before half-time. Sabri Lamouchi's side made sure of their qualification to the 3rd round with ten minutes to go as João Carvalho made it three.

It was an evening where Phillip Cocu's side failed to put their foothold on the match, and with not one shot on-target, the 3,300 Rams supporters left empty handed.

The match was marred by an incident that reportedly took place during the Derby players' warm-down which involved Rams captain, Richard Keogh, and a Nottingham Forest groundsman.

This leaves Cocu's side without a win in four, as they prepare to travel to West London for Saturday's fixture at Brentford. That is the last Championship match-week before the first international break of the season.
