Recently appointed Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams has told the Plymouth Herald that he is pleased with the chemistry between the new coaching staff.

Could Plymouth manager Derek Adams make a move for Jordon Forster in the next few weeks?
Adams is liking the chemistry in his coaching team

The former Ross County boss will have Plymouth Argyle club legend Paul Wotton and Craig Brewster, who worked with Adams in his time at his former club enjoying the same role.

Wotton, Plymouth born and bred, made an admirable 446 over two spells with the Pilgrims before retiring from football back in May. New manager Derek Adams believes Wotton's knowledge and insight into the club is something that he felt was vital to keep in the club.

He told Plymouth Herald, ''I think it’s important you keep people like Paul, who have been here for a number of years, at the club. People like that know the tradition of the club and they know what the fans here want. They have the experience behind the scenes perhaps that myself and Craig don’t yet have.”

Craig Brewster, who enjoyed real success with Adams at Ross County, is another coach who Adams believes can only bring good things for the club. ''Craig’s got vast experience and played until he was 42. He’s managed at the top level in Scotland twice, with Inverness. That experience can only help us here and we have Paul alongside us as well.''

The 40-year-old manager then discussed the working relationship between the three of them and what the players can come to expect in training and in matches. ''We all have different areas that we excel in and when we do that, we’ll work well together. The one thing you want to do is make players better and make the team ultimately better. The three of us will be quite hands-on, on the training field. Every coach has different ways of working, but hopefully we can hit the ground running in pre-season.''

In what is exciting times for the Green Army, they will be hoping the three coaches can guide them to promotion after coming so close last season under former manager John Sheridan.
