‘Club statement’ – These Portsmouth fans take aim at one man after Northampton thrashing

Portsmouth endured a nightmare afternoon on Saturday, as they were thrashed 4-1 by struggling Northampton Town at Sixfields.

A double from Ryan Watson, followed by goals from Fraser Horsfall and Sam Hoskins, were enough to give the hosts an emphatic 4-0 lead by half time.

Although Ellis Harrison pulled one back from the penalty spot for Pompey after the break, Kenny Jackett’s side were unable to come close to really finding a route back into the game.

That result means that Portsmouth have won just one of their last six games, and have dropped to sixth in the League One table, ten points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

Perhaps not surprisingly given the nature of this latest setback, plenty of Portsmouth fans were far from happy as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, with many calling for the departure of manager Kenny Jackett in the wake of this defeat.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the Portsmouth boss.
