Saudi giants Al Hilal have reportedly submitted a bid of €7million for West Brom midfielder Matheus Pereira, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
Pereira has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Baggies in recent seasons, and played a starring role in their promotion-winning campaign in 2019/20.
The 25-year-old scored eight goals, and was on hand to provide 20 assists in that season, which was one to remember for plenty of the club’s supporters.
Pereira had previously been on the books with Sporting Lisbon before making the move to the Hawthorns in 2020, and it’s safe to say that he’s made a positive impact with the Baggies.
The midfielder made 34 appearances in all competitions last season, and chipped in with 12 goals and six assists for West Brom last season.
But his efforts weren’t enough to see them avoid relegation back into the Championship after a brief spell in the top-flight.
Pereira had previously been attracting interest from both Leeds United and West Ham, according to a report from The Express.
He still has three years remaining on his contract with West Brom, but it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll see out his deal with them moving forwards.
West Brom are set to take on AFC Bournemouth in their opening match of the 2020/21 season, in what is likely to be a tricky test at the Vitality Stadium.

This surely won’t be accepted?
Pereira has been brilliant for West Brom in recent seasons, and is certainly worth more than the €7million fee being quoted in this report.
The midfielder has shown that he’s capable of playing his football in the Premier League next season, having been one of the few players to come away with credit to their name from last term.
It’s a somewhat insulting offer by the Saudi club, and it would come as a real surprise if West Brom were even willing to discuss a move for Pereira to go to Al Hilal after this opening offer.
