Fenerbahce are planning a move to sign striker George Puscas from Reading in the next summer transfer window, Turkish outlet Ajansspor have reported.

It was previously claimed that the Turkish outfit were set to target Puscas in the January window, after watching him play for Romania during the September international break.

According to the latest reports however, Fenerbahce could now wait until the end of the current season before making their move for the 23-year-old, as the club are happy with the attacking options they have at present.

Puscas only joined Reading from Inter Milan this summer, in a move said to be worth around €8million, with the striker signing a five-year deal at the Madejski Stadium.

Since making the move to Reading, Puscas has scored three goals in seven appearances in all competitions for the Royals.

Reading currently sit 17th in the Championship, having won two and drawn of their opening seven league games of the season.

The Verdict

I think this will be a concern for Reading.

Puscas has already shown plenty of promise during his brief time at the club, and his potential even from his spell with Inter Milan, suggests he could be a key asset for the club for years to come.

That, however, will all depend on him staying where he is right now, and Reading may need a successful campaign this year to convince Puscas they are the right club for him, something they have arguably yet to suggest they are capable of.

Indeed, with the opportunity to compete for silverware and in European football potentially on offer to him with Fenerbahce, that could make a move to Turkey a particularly appealing one for Puscas, should that interest materialise into a genuine offer for the striker.
