The last thing Sheffield Wednesday fans want to hear about right now is more injury news.

Jos Luhukay has done a brilliant job to get the Owls into a position to contend for the play-offs, but the news that he will now be without striker Gary Hooper and midfielder Kieran Lee until the New Year is only ever going to be a blow to everybody.

Hooper is yet to make an appearance this season, or this calendar year, after picking up his injury at the end of December last season.

Lee is much the same having suffered his setback just weeks earlier than Hooper, meaning both will have been out for over a year by the time they return.

Luhukay takes his side to Loftus Road on Tuesday night to face Queens Park Rangers and will be hopeful of getting back to winning ways after a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough last time out.

But, it is safe to say the fans are not as optimistic after this news...
