‘Club legend’, ‘Hero’ – Plenty of Leeds United fans are loving former favourite’s latest throwback

On Friday 8th May, it marked ten years since Leeds United won promotion back into the Championship under the guidance of Simon Grayson.

The Whites finished second in the League One table in the 2009/10 campaign, and clinched it with a positive result over Bristol Rovers at Elland Road.

They have since shown improvement in the Championship, and look well on course to win promotion into the Premier League this season under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

One player that played his part in that promotion-winning season was Luciano Becchio, who scored 15 goals in 37 league appearances for the Whites in that campaign.

Becchio took to Instagram to look back at that memorable league campaign, and labelled it as an ‘unbelievable day’, which is something that the majority of the club’s supporters will agree with.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to Instagram to issue high-praise for Becchio, after playing his part for the club over a number of years.

Take a look at the best of the reaction below….

Elliotconyon: “Legend.”
