Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge has joined the race with Leeds United for NEC Nijmegen’s talented Belgian winger Anthony Limbombe, according to the Belgian news outlet HLN.
Anthony Limbombe is a name that has been associated with Leeds United for a number of transfer windows, and it appears that the West Yorkshire side remains interested in the 21-year-old winger.
Anthony Limbombe who has been one of the standout performers in the Dutch Eredivisie as he scored on seven occasions and also provided seven assists in 32 Eredivisie appearances.
As well as Leeds United’s attention, it has emerged from recent reports that Club Brugge have joined the race and could potentially beat Leeds United to Limbombe’s signature.
Club Brugge are reportedly looking to make a double swoop from the Eredivisie with Michel Preud’homme keen to bring in Ajax’s Ricardo Van Rhijn and Leeds United target Anthony Limbombe to the Belgian club.
If these moves come to fruition, it is likely to be as a result of a cash windfall that Club Brugge is set to receive following the sale of Belgian international Thomas Meunier to Paris Saint-Germain.
It is yet to be seen how interested Leeds United is in Anthony Limbombe but they may miss out on the target if they don’t make their interest known in the near future.
