Lee Camp has come under heavy scrutiny from supporters after his latest mistake for Birmingham City.

The Blues goalkeeper parried a long-range effort delivered by Anthony Pilkington into his own net last night. That mistake proved to be the only difference between the two sides as Pep Clotet’s team lost 1-0 at the DW Stadium.

Their third defeat in as many matches has seen the Blues slip down to 14th place in the Championship. Despite the mistake costing his side a valuable point on the road, Clotet remained supportive of his goalkeeper and defended him against the heavy criticism.

After the final whistle was blown, Camp raised a hand in apology to the travelling supporters in acknowledgement of his error in a plea for forgiveness.

However, from Birmingham City News’ latest tweet, it seems pretty clear that supporters weren’t all that forgiving of Camp’s mistake.

The initial Tweet read…

Supporters were quick to remind each other that this wasn’t his first mistake…
