Nottingham Forest have had a spectacular transfer window so far as they look to push for promotion in the upcoming campaign.

Aitor Karanka has been backed with significant funds, with the Reds bringing in Joao Carvalho for a club-record £13m fee and several other big-name additions.

The former Boro boss seems to have found the right balance, with Championship know-how recruited along with foreign flair and there have been comparisons with Wolves from 12 months ago.

Yet, even though Forest have signed almost an entirely new team, Karanka still wants more players and is keen on bringing in at least two new faces.

A full-back and a central midfielder are the priority, whilst a striker could also be on the cards if the right player comes up.

Here we look at three Championhip arrivals that would improve this new-look Forest side...

The Danish full-back is a very solid performer that is reliable defensively and enjoys getting forward.

He showed his talent at the World Cup with his national team this summer and was a real standout performer in Russia, highlighting the ability he has.

With Tendayi Darikwa the only senior right-back at the club, Dalsgaard would be an upgrade in that position.

Forest are on the lookout for a competitive midfielder and Jack Colback is the man lined up to move to the City Ground.

However, whilst Pearson would cost a lot more in terms of the fee, he is a younger and better option.

The Preston man was a standout performer in the league last season and there are few better than him at his role in the Championship.

The signing of Lewis Grabban was much-needed but Forest still lack proven quality behind the former Bournemouth man.

Therefore, they should look to take advantage of Aston Villa's dire financial situation and move for Kodjia.

He has shown over the years he can score at this level and would add real depth and quality to Forest in a key position.
