Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has given a number of the club’s academy players a chance in the first-team this season, and the latest young prospect could be in line to make the step up.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been hugely impressive the the Villa under 23’s side this season, and he netted a stunning solo goal against Manchester United on Monday evening.
The forward beat five Manchester United players before finishing clinically to put Villa ahead on the night against the Red Devils.
The young Villains went on to win the game 5-1 in a sparkling display to get off to the perfect start in 2019.
Hepburn-Murphy has been the subject of speculation linking him with a loan move away from Villa Park, and he displays like this show exactly what he is a striker in demand.
Charlton and Coventry have both emerged as the frontrunners to strike a deal for his signature according to The Sun on Sunday (06/01, Page 63), and a loan deal could be exactly what the youngster needs to develop in the early stages of his career.
But what did Aston Villa supporters have to say about his latest showing?
