Middlesbrough travel to Humberside this weekend looking to add to their point on the road last Saturday.

Tony Pulis’ men were held to a goalless draw gainst the Swans last weekend.

Boro head to the KCOM Stadium to take on Hull City this weekend looking to six wins in nine matches, and they know a positive result could take them top of the division depending on scores elsewhere.

Leeds lead the league on goal difference with Middlesbrough four goals worst off than the only side above them in the division.

Hull will be a test for Pulis’ men, who occupy 21st-position in the table after a poor start to the season.

Boro will need to be at their best to beat a side desperate for the points for different reasons to theirsa tomorrow afternoon.

With that said, here is the Middlesbrough XI that has the best chance of beating Hull City this Saturday afternoon at the KCOM Stadium.

Middlesbrough’s number one will no doubt keep his place for the trip to the KCOM this weekend to take on Hull City.

He has been an ever-present in Tony Pulis’ side this term, and there is no reason why he shouldn’t start tomorrow afternoon against Hull.

After his mistake in the opened day draw with Millwall, Aiden Flint has gone from strength to strength and is an integral part of Boro’s rock-solid defence.

The Spaniard has only managed five appearances for Boro this term, but he is building up quite the partnership with Aiden Flint next to him at the heart of the Middlesbrough back-line.

The 30-year-old has appeared in every minute of Middlesbrough’s season will without question be one of the XI that could see Boro win away at Hull.

Jonny Howson has played in the middle of the part and the attacking third this term but his better form is on the right of a three in midfield.

With the players he has around him his inclusion should help make it easier for Boro if they want to win.

The Everton loanee was impressive last season for Boro and is back to do the same this time around.

In the middle of a three, he will be the one to sit deep, and his destruction of opposition attacks will be crucial if they are to win at the weekend.

The new signing has settled in well with his new club and scored on his home debut.

Operating in the left of a three in midfield, George Saville will have the license to roam forward and look to get in the opponent's penalty box to pick up any loose scraps.

He was on form but then dropped with a move away from the club expected.

That was not forthcoming, and he will now look to find his early season form on the right of a front three.

Middlesbrough’s leading man - he will be playing down the middle and looking to get on the shoulder of the last defender and get in behind. With the players either side of him capable of picking out a ball over the top, Britt Assombalonga could have some real job.

The evergreen Stuart Downing will be operating on the left of a front three, and it is the perfect position for him to swing balls into the box for the likes of Britt Assombalonga and Martin Braithwaite to attack.

Not forgetting George Saville and Jonny Howson.

His delivery will be crucial tomorrow afternoon, as well as form set pieces if Boro want to claim all three points.
