Nottingham Forest earned a fine 3-0 win over Barnsley last night but it did come with a bit of a bum note at the same time.

Of course, the Reds will be pleased with the all-round showing and the goals they managed to score but it was marred by an injury to Juan Fuentes.

The left-back hasn't seen much football at the club since January but was handed a debut last night as he looked to make an impression.

However, he had to come off having only played a half of football with a knee injury and it looks as though he could be out for a considerable amount of time.

A blow for the player and the club, then, and under Aitor Karanka underlined his class as his post-match tweet was largely concerned with the player and his fitness:

The Verdict

Forest will be rightly happy with the win but there's a sour taste in the mouth after it - as the manager says.

Karanka may be a ruthless manager at times when it comes to departures and player selection but he is also fair and cares about all of his players, underlined by this statement about Fuentes.

Let's hope he gets back to fitness soon.
