Huddersfield Town defender Danny Simpson has sent a message on Twitter after the Terriers’ first win of the season, which has received a warm response from many fans of the club.

Simpson became Danny Cowley’s first signing as Huddersfield boss last week, joining as a free agent after seeing his contract at Leicester City expire in the summer.

The 32-year-old has started both games since he joined the club and helped the Terriers go unbeaten across that period, earning a draw with Millwall on the weekend and beating Stoke City last night.

Juninho Bacuna came off the bench to score the winner for Cowley’s side, earning them their first win of the season and helping them to climb up to 22nd in the Championship.

After the game, Simpson took to Twitter to send a message to the Huddersfield fans.

The right-back looks a really shrewd addition from Huddersfield and, having made over 300 combined Premier League and Championship appearances, his experience and nous should provide them with a real boost.

Simpson’s message was well-received by many Terriers fans, with some taking to Twitter to offer him messages of encouragement.
