Championship table-toppers Cardiff City will seek a sixth successive win to start the season when they travel to Fulham on Saturday.

Neil Warnock’s men secured a top-half finish in the second tier last term but have been tipped by many to do better this time round, and based on their opening five games, they may well do just that.

The Bluebirds edged past Burton Albion on the opening weekend before securing back-to-back home wins over Aston Villa and Sheffield United, and consecutive 2-1 successes at Wolves and then at home to Queens Park Rangers means Warnock’s men sit top of the division at the first of the season’s international break.

However, they face a tricky trip to Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham on Saturday in a bid to maintain their 100% start to the campaign, and they will have to do without midfield stalwart Craig Noone, who made a deadline day move to Bolton Wanderers last week.

The 29-year-old joined the South Wales outfit back in 2012 and went on to make 170 appearances for the club, although he saw his gametime significantly reduce under Warnock, thus his recent move to Phil Parkinson’s Bolton.

And the Englishman, who played a key part in helping the Bluebirds win promotion to the Premier League back in 2013, has posted a message for Cardiff supporters on Twitter, thanking the staff, teammates, and fans for his five-year stint in the Welsh capital.

And this tweet has stimulated quite a response from Bluebirds fans on the social media website…
